Peanut Island, Florida

3/1/2015

These are some photos that I took of Chesteen,  Barry Hall, her brother, and my daughter, Nancy, when we went over to Peanut Island to visit JFK's bomb-bunker built for him during the Cuban Missile Crisis. This bunker is located on a small island situated between Palm Beach and Singer Island.  During my teen years Jeff Potter and I played in and around the bunker many times. Back ten it was hidden in pine trees. Now days it is a State Park..

Lance

3/1/2015

Photos of my son in law, Matt, my grandson, Lance and myself.  Another 50 ft. dive throughout the inlet. On this dive we recovered several fishing lures, some very large scallops, a brand new snorkel and lots of lead weights from fishermen that lost such.  Lance continues to get better and better. He is 9 years old. Each morning he swims 5,000 yards for the North Palm Beach Country Club before we go diving. This year's water and weather has been exceptional. 100' visibility and flat seas. I spotted the very first lion fish that i have ever seen in the inlet yesterday. Charlie relayed the invasive Pacific species is really bringing terror to the Keys and that there is now a $3 bounty on them. I may yet take on a new role as a lion hunter.
