2017 Breeding Program
The Red Pair
On this page you see a photograph which I happened to have taken of my "RED PAIR" this past 2016 breeding season. Both are straight old Heitzman Sions and both have parents which flew 600 miles as YOUNG BIRDS. This "RED PAIR" are the parents of my first YOUNG BIRD which flew 504 Air Miles to be home ON THE DAY in 2015; a small blue bar hen now breeding in Tibet.
This year, I only flew two young birds out of THE RED PAIR. Both were small blue check hens. And both returned from an extremely tough 504 air miles as late hatch YOUNG BIRDS---basically un-trained--- in storms and headwinds.
In 2017, my breeding program will be centering very strongly on this blood. I have some 14 pair of breeders at present which I can mate together to have many of my 2017 young birds filled with this particular gene pool. The other photo attached is a typical young bird straight out of THE RED PAIR. I have several of these which I stocked because of their color and also breeding potential. In my mind's eye, she will be a typical young bird which I will be breeding from the "RED PAIR" bloodlines in 2017. They are small, sleek pigeons---almost dove-like in appearance---owning an incredible homing instinct---far superior to any pigeons I have ever had in over 60 years. I feel they represent the modern Sions at their very finest anywhere in the world going into 2017. I believe both Paul Sion and Charles Heitzman would have loved these Sions and the direction I have taken them to become truly great long distance YOUNG BIRDS. I know of NO other fancier in the world that can state they have birds hatching in 2017 which have all eight of their grandparents which flew 500 or 600 miles as---YOUNG BIRDS." No Sweat

NO SWEAT LOFTS
NO SWEAT in supply room of THE NO SWEAT LOFTS in Richmond, Kentucky. And also a photograph of some of the current hens which will be use as breeders in 2017. There will be 50 par of breeders in 2017. The breeding will primarily be divided up into four groups of line-breeding back towards particular exceptional, long-distance champions. Two of those breeding groups will consist of some 12 par which will be termed "THE RED BLOOD." Many of these birds will have red color and will all go back in their bloodlines to a silver cock, "HARD CORE." Another grouping will be primarily silver bars----"THE SILVER BLOOD." The silver blood will all be going back on to a silver cock, "300. 300 is one of the greatest long distance Heitzman Sions I have ever owned. Pure old "GRIS SION" blood The bet of the best-and he is absolutely beautiful.I have seven direct sons and daughters breeding from him in 2017.
NO SWEAT LOFTS located in a semi-rural, country-setting on the outskirts of Richmond, Kentucky; the exact same state where the honorable and famous Charles Heitzman once lived and loved. The two photos below were taken in November, 2016 during the fall season of the year. The NO SWEAT RACING PIGEON LOFTS consist of five main lofts, one supply room and ten small breeding stations. In these lofts are kept and bred the finest long-distance racing pigeons in the world, the true HOME OF HEITZMAN SIONS - and the future of their existence.
NO OTHER LOFT IN THE WORLD TODAY CONSISTENTLY FLY THEIR YOUNG BIRDS 500 or 600 AIR MILE - YEAR IN AND YEAR OUT. The truly best racing pigeons are those that fly the longest distances. This demands the most intelligent pigeons with the keenest homing instincts. "When a young bird flies 12 or more hours to reach its home over a distance of 500 miles then you have a very special athlete and it must be treated as if a diamond" - quote from Charles Heitzman. "No Sweat, I owe much of my success to my secret of breeding from young birds which flew 500 miles." - Charles Heitzman
