I am now into my 70's (age) and I have had  Sions since 1959.  I have seen and known many of the best Sion men who ever lived.  And I can honestly relay to anyone--NONE---none of them ever had a distinct  family of Sions such as these. Some had outstanding racers here and there. But none had a true old distinct family they could call their own family---anything like THE NO SWEAT SIONS.  Yes, I keep repeating this because it is a matter I want to emphasize.  I am immensly proud of this family. It has taken a lifetime to achieve such a colony of racers. I am "old school" in all that I do with racing pigeons. That boils down to time and work.  Stuff the mdern fanciers detest. And to me, "old school" actually means that I love the birds. That I am with them all the time.  That I remain fascinated seeing them. That I am a child in heir presence.  I admire evereything about Sions.  I would never begin to have any bird from another family.  It would only serve to RUIN all the hard work I have put into these birds.  I know that I will not live forever and I know that what I continue to do with this family of Sions each year, year in and year out, is to constantly be improvig them and to keep them headed well into the future so that they will somehow survive long after I am gone.
