HEITZMAN SIONS NO SWEAT YOU TUBE DECEMBER 11, 2020
If you are interested in the future direction of these Sions---truly the finest family of Sions now in the world----- you may find the following photos of my 2021 breeders of keen interest. Please carefully study the photos to see for yourself how just how fine these racers really are. And yes, I am overly enthusistic and most proud of them---as anyone knowing them as I surely do would be. They are both gorgeous and also outstanding racers, particularly at long distances.
The old addages: THE APPLE DOES NOT FALL FAR FROM THE TREE and FROM THE BEST COME THE BEST are true enough but best true when racing pigeons are in the hands of a steward who walks the walk day in and day out. And appreciate that these birds all handle as good as they look.
I am beginning the 2021 breeding season with exactly 50 pair of breeders which represent a lifetime of out-of-the-box experimentation, directed-progressive selective breeding and staunch devotion. These Heitzman Sions have basically evolved to be my own family of Sions which I call "THE NO SWEAT SIONS." NO SWEAT happens to be my pen name which I have been writing under for over fifty years.
About half of my colony of Sions are blue bars and the other half are evenly split among silver bars and dark or brick reds. I do sometimes bred a blue and dark check from some matings. And on occassion, will breed a young bird with white flights or splashing--but not often. The eyes and eye-signs of these Sions greatly varies. But in every case--outstanding. Almost all of my Sions are basically medium in size with a few hens being smal and one or two cocks possibly what one might judgew as medium-large.
I emphasize a very rich feathering and I make certain to cover all the basics in what should constitute an outstanding physical specimen. There is never any use in giving competition any advantages. A beautiful racer is something of a work of art, as I see it.
These are the cream of the crop after my 62 years of living with them. It is one matter to be beautiful, another to perform. And the NO SWEAT SIONS are superior at both as is evidenced by the photos you see and by their very recent results in the world's most prestigeous race over the past two years--THE SOUTH AFRICAN MILLION DOLLAR PIGEON RACE. That fact along with OVER 1,000 first places they have accumulated at all levels of competiton.
At times, in SOUTH AFRICA, my close-bred family of Sions led the entire UNITED STATES in training races and almost the world. And on their last year, this same family of Sions defeatred every single bird which Mike Ganus entered against them in the final and most important race. This family of Sions are the ONLY birds in the USA which have regularly flown back home as Y-O-U-N-G B-I-R-D-S from 700 miles. Yes, I repeat, 700 mile young birds! And these YOUNG BIRDS regularly fly back from 500 and 600 air miles EVERY YEAR. They MUST own superior homing instincts!
They are simply the most beautiful long distance racers in the world. AND THE HEALHIEST!!! This year when I sent 35 entries to race in The World's greatest race, all 35 birds had to be shipped to my exporter here in the USA. They not only went through that USA quarantine and also had to be kept nearly an additional month before going out but also, when they got to Africa they once again had to go through another long quarantine process wherein they were exposed alongsde many other pigeons from all over the world which had every kind of virus on the planet. To make a long story short, of the 35 entries I sent to go throughout all of this and to finally get themselves entered into the main loft---please note: ALL 35 of the 35 entries I sent ---ALL of them made it through with flying colors. That is 100%. And friends, if you know much about all that is involved, you will readily know that to get 35 out of 35 birds through all of this shouts and screams to the world just exactly how incredibly healthy that this close bred family of NO SWEAT SIONS actually are. These numbers speak for themselves. And it is accomplished with no vaccinations or medicines or special tonics whatsoever. No quick fixes or voodoo stuff. My Sions have been selectively bred for over a half century. And in the process superior health has always been at the forefront. My Sions own a fantastic natural immunity and have the strongest natural anti bodies you could ever hope to have in racing pigeons. All of this key in why my racing pigeons happen to be the finest long distance racers on earth. In 2021, they will be racing against the very finest racers from throughout the world in THE VICTORIA FALLS RACE. At this time there appears to be nerly 7,500 entries in that race. That race will happen around the end of July, 2021. If anyone ever wishes to reach me regarding my fmaily of Sions, please do. I am always happy to discuss them at any time. I love talking about the history of Sions. The following is my best and accurate up-to-date contact information. I am alwaqys best reached by an email. And I always reply. Thank you. BLESSINGS.
