2017 Stock Birds
2017 STOCK BIRDS -- CHARLES HEITZMAN SIONS ---NO SWEAT LOFTS, RICHMOND, KENTUCKY. The following photographs are those of some of the 2017 HEITZMAN SIONS which THE NO SWEAT LOFTS will be using as stock birds in their breeding program throughout 2017. In one room are a group of silvers which are all related, most going back onto an old powder silver cock which was inbred to one of the finest silver hens of all time. Many of these birds have a light colored eye. Many are small in size and superior long-distance racers. In one breeding room, The No Sweat Lofts are experimenting with 15 pair which are termed "THE RED BLOOD." Most all of these "RED BLOOD" birds are all related to each other. They are superior long-distance Sions, usually small in size and many are red checks or brick reds which own chestnut- colored eyes. These are perhaps the finest long-distance YOUNG BIRD racers now in the world. All of them derive from four Sions which flew 600 Miles as a Young Bird. The next main breeding group are primarily medium-sized blue checks and blue bars. Simply magnificent racing pigeons in every way. These are all 500 Mile pigeons. Of the 150 Sions now in the five lofts comprising The 2017 No Sweat Lofts, OVER 100 of them have flown either 500 or 600 miles. A fact which The No Sweat Lofts are extremely proud to share. The end result of a tremendous amount of discipline in selective breeding, time, money and devotion. There is NO finer colony of original Paul Sions and thus, Charles Heitzman Sions, now currently flying in any loft in the world. each SION has earned its roost."
Typical Red Hen "RED BLOOD" Bloodlines
This is a photograph of one of the typical red hens which is in the "RED BLOOD" bloodlines that I have been selectively-breeding for ad now finding to be some of my finest .long-distance racers. I have several reds identical to her and in the year, 2017, will likely be producing some 60-75 reds which will all be almost identical to this pigeon. She is pure old HEITZMAN SION down from his great foundation pair: 1033 and 1104, two red... These reds are rather small in size and the hens often have a "dove-like appearance. Most have chestnut eyes. They are perfectly built pigeons with wonderful feathering. these are birds which are now excelling at 500 miles as YOUNG BIRDS for The No Sweat Lofts. Most of them can boast having all four grandparents which have flown 600 miles. Although small, they own much stamina. And in a race in which there happens to be headwinds or heat, these birds own superior homing instincts which will get them home when most all other pigeons falter. The No Sweat Lofts take great pride in having developed this line of Sions within the Heitzman Sion colony. I believe they are closer akin in every way to the very best original Paul Sions... Those were outstanding true racers which were also handsome in appearance--as is this hen. And the brick reds have long been associated with many of the finest Sions; "OLD '51," etc. I hope to enter several of these reds in races throughout the USA and possibly in the 2018 Two Million Dollar South African Race.
Sample Reds
Two photographs showing some of the reds now breeding for the No Sweat Lofts in 2017. Most of these reds have all flown 500 miles or farther.
